Urban Sketchers visit the Dudson Museum
Location: The Dudson centre, Hanley, ST1 5DD
To mark the new Saturday opening hours at the Dudson Museum, a group of talented local artists named the Stoke Urban Sketchers, will be taking up residence in the courtyard, where everyone is welcome see them drawing and painting, or even sketch along with them.
The museum staff are on hand to chat about the local heritage and beautiful pottery. People can relax in the café or courtyard with a drink and enjoy homemade cake and hot food.
Laura Green, from Stoke Urban Sketchers is looking forward to their forthcoming residency and says.
“We will be sketching at the Dudson Museum between 11am – 1pm on Saturday 7th October, and we’re inviting artist to come and join in- whatever your age or ability, it’s free to take part. We can provide you with sketching materials and ware are a friendly group who have been meeting regularly at different local sites to sketch for around 7 years now. We love to sketch whatever we see, be that the architecture, the people, old historic buildings, modern structures, events, and of course the iconic pot banks!
