Valuation Day | Saturday 9th October 2021

Date: Saturday 9th October 2021
Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Free Entry. No booking required

On behalf of the Dudson Museum, Louis Taylor and Potteries auctions are conducting a valuation day.

On hand all day will be Louis Taylor’s senior valuer, assessing jewellery, watches, coins, medals, ceramics, silver, scientific instruments, postcard albums, and many other items.

For just £1 per item, you can find out the value of your treasured possessions.

Also, we are fortunate to have one of the country’s leading experts in modern British ceramics—William Buckley—present on the day between 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm to look at your rare and unusual pieces of Doulton, Moorcroft, Minton, and Wedgwood. The market for the more unusual pieces from these, and various other factories have never been better, and many exceedingly rare and valuable pieces are still to be discovered in the local area.

Please remember that if for any reason you cannot bring in certain items, our valuers can work with decent photographs on your phone, tablet, or laptop.

Free advice is given regarding the sale at auction of a wide variety of items, and arrangements can be made for home visits in certain circumstances.  A discount on our normal commission rates will be offered to visitors attending the Dudson Museum valuation day.

The Dudson Café will be open during the day for you to relax and enjoy snacks, cakes, and drinks.
